How to make your own balloon arch for celebrations

Making your own balloon arch is easier than you think!

With a few simple supplies and some easy-to-follow instructions, you can create a beautiful balloon arch for any occasion. This DIY project is fun and easy to make.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Balloon Arch Kit or

Balloons (in the colors of your choice)

Decorative balloon strip

Glue dots the 6mm is good because the dots are tiny so you can’t see them

– Air Pump (I use this electric balloon pump)

– Tape

– Scissors

Command strips or adhesive wall hooks

-String

Instructions:

First, separate your balloons into two piles: one for the larger balloons and one for the small ones.

Next, inflate the balloon base with air using the pump. Each balloon should be about 3/4 full, so it takes on a symmetrical round shape, not a pear shape. If you overfill the balloon, it has a pear shape which doesn’t look aesthetically pleasing on your arch.

Once the balloon is inflated, tie a knot to secure the balloon. Repeat this process until all balloon bases are inflated.

Keep the large and small balloons separated for now. The larger balloons will have to go on the strip first, followed by the smaller ones.

Some people use a balloon stand, but I like to create arches without a stand; they just look cooler!

If you use glue dots, you can create different-sized balloons and stick the smaller ones in between the larger ones.

Next, take your first balloon and insert it into one of the balloon base (decorative strip). Repeat with all the large balloons by pulling the ends through into the holes.

Once the balloon is in place, tape it to the base. Repeat this process until all balloon bases are covered with balloons.

Next, take smaller balloons and use the glue dots to stick them where your arch has gaps. Simply place one or two glue dots on the sides of the balloon and stick in the gap.

Now that all of the balloon bases are covered, it’s time to start creating your arch!

To do this, simply take two balloon bases and connect them together with a piece of tape. Or, if you have a large arch decorative strip, you can skip this.

Continue connecting balloon bases until you have the desired size and shape for your arch.

Now it’s time to hang up your balloon arch:

You’re going to be using about 3 to 4 hooks, depending on the size of the arch.

You need to space out and hang the hooks in about 3 to 4 places. Start with the left, then higher in the center, and one on the right. The shape of the arch is really up to you!

In order to hang up the balloon arch, you need to use string. Cut string into long strips that fit around the decorative strip and tie it. Create a loop and hang it on your hook – do this for all the hooks. So you need as many string loops as you have hooks.

Finally, stand back and admire your handiwork! You’ve now created a beautiful balloon arch that is perfect for any celebration.
